PureSmoker: The White Knght in the FDA Fight.

I just want to give a shout out to Steve and Casey at Pure Smoker.com  As of late they have been in the news several times fighting for our right to vape.  I, for one, am happy to have such dedicated and determined vendors on our side.

Its sad that so many people can make judgments and assumptions based on false information.  Mostly this is because there is a general lack of education and people are afraid of things they don't understand.  So, rather than try to understand it, open up their minds, and think freely, they run in fear and cry wolf.  Its OK though, don't worry friends.  Darwin had a name for those people that didn't evolve and the future for the week minded is bleak. All the fear mongering that is done by our government will cause the whole system to crumble around them.  It will be the free thinkers that emerge victorious while the rest scramble for the table scraps.  But I digress.

Thank you Steve for this rousing article and for igniting a debate that will hopefully lead to vapers being able to keep off of cigarettes and live longer.

Equality is everyone's business

OK so I know this is a blog about ecigs but it is MY blog about ecigs and so I want to reach out to the people I know.  Today I found out the horrible news that our congress didn't even entertain a debate as to whether or not  the military's don't ask don't tell policy should be repealed.  The proposal was not even allowed on the floor.

This breaks my heart on so many levels.  I am a veteran and I served during the Bosnia/Kosovo conflict.  I knew several gay people when I was in and I can tell you that they were just as dedicated and just as honorable if not more then other heterosexual members.  How hypocritical is our society that we scream for equality for one group while we segregate another.

Discrimination is the only definition of what is going on in our government and society.  We isolate, alienate, and deny fundamental rights to specific people based on their sexual preference? Really? Why?  Because we don't understand it? Because we are grossed out by it?  Shame on our society for allowing this.  Shame on christian organizations for being judgmental of people that don't share their beliefs.  Shame on republican AND democratic parties for letting the people they serve live without freedom so they don't have to worry about losing an election.

It is time to stop the hate! This issue is no different than women being able to vote or the elimination of separate but equal laws.  Our constitution promises inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  If this is the case then why are select people not allowed liberty, life, or their happiness.  It is time to stop the hate!  Open your mind!  Speak out against prejudice and discrimination.  Tell your friends!  Write your congressman/congresswoman!  We are an advanced society and the government works for us.  Tell them that you want everyone to be free and if they can't provide it you will vote for someone who can.  Send that treat.

Remember, one person can't do everything but everyone can do something!  Everything is in our hands and we must demand justice and equality for everyone.
